SELECTIVE BACKUP
With the new version 11.1, you now have the choice to save the three following elements independently:
- Your company database
- All attachments in your company
- Any other document such as custom forms, templates, etc.
These three options are independent of each other and can be selected together or individually.
Selecting none of these elements is equivalent to cancelling the backup.
Backing-up your database only
To backup your database only, complete the simple following procedure:
- Go to the File / Backup menu
- Leave the Include Database checked and uncheck the others
- Choose a location and assign a name to your backup
- Click the Save button
Backing-up your attachments only
To backup your attachments only, complete the simple following procedure:
- Go to the File / Backup menu
- Leave the Include Attachments checked and uncheck the others
- Choose a location and assign a name to your backup
- Click the Save button
Backing-up your templates only
To backup your templates only, complete the simple following procedure:
- Go to the File / Backup menu
- Leave the Include Templates checked and uncheck the others
- Choose a location and assign a name to your backup
- Click the Save button
Restoring a backup
If the backup file does not contain your database, but contains a backup of your templates or attachments, the system will prompt you to select an existing database to include these elements rather than opening the selection window to locate the database.
