SET A TIME FRAME TO YOUR TAX GROUPS
The new version 11.1 of your Dynacom application allows you to create a tax group and set the time period during which this tax group will be valid.
Setting a tax group validity between two specific dates offers the following benefits:
- Allows you to use a tax group for a specific period only
- Ensures you always use a valid tax group
|
For example...
Knowing that the Quebec government will increase the provincial sales tax (QST) to 8.5% as of January 1, 2011, you could easily set December 31, 2010 as the end date for all your tax groups including the QST tax. This way, you would be certain to always use a valid tax group. Once the end date is reached, all these tax groups will automatically become inactive, which will prevent you from using them by mistake later on.

Setting a time frame to a tax group
To take advantage of this new feature, create a tax group by completing the usual steps while specifying a time frame by using the new Valid from – Valid to fields from the tax group maintenance screen.
When the session date of your Dynacom Accounting software is located within the time frame set previously for a specific tax group, this tax group will be listed and available in all transaction screens (estimates, orders, invoices, etc.).
On the other hand, when the session date of your software exceeds the end date set for a specific tax group, this tax group will no longer be available in the transaction screens.
