SYSTEM REPLACEMENT SCREENS
Would you like to change a system screen of your application so that it better meets your needs? No problem with the new replacement screen feature that lets you customize the way you want a Dynacom screen to look and behave by using Synergy.
With the new replacement screen feature, you'll be able to:
- Modify an existing system screen from Dynacom Accounting
- Force the usage of a customized screen by default
- Give the choice to users from one company to either use a system screen from Dynacom Accounting or a customized one
It is possible to modify the static screens in Dynacom Accounting as follows:
- Move existing controls on one screen
- Remove (or hide) controls
- Add new controls
A user with administrative rights can also decide that:
- The modified screen is now the default screen for all users
- Users have the option to choose from a list the screen they want to open
Creating a replacement screen
To create a replacement screen, complete the following procedure:
- Open the screen you wish to modify (for example, the customer maintenance) and click the Customize option from the toolbar
- Select the Add/Remove option and then the Add a screen based on a template from this screen/Customers
Synergy opens to let you enter the information you need on the new custom screen. When the Create a new screen wizard pops up, complete the fields as follow:
- Deselect the Do not display this screen in the application’s menus option to display the screen in one of the application’s menus
- Assign a name to your screen (Menu caption)
- Select the menu where you want the screen to appear (Menu location – In the Maintenance menu, for example)
- Click the Finish button to start the customization
The Synergy Designer opens so you can make your changes (adding or deleting a control). Once these modifications are complete, click Apply Changes and then Exit the Designer to create your custom screen.
Back in your Dynacom Accounting software, the new screen will appear in the menu that you selected earlier.
